Belarusian Declaration of Sovereignty (July 27, 1990)

The date celebarates Belarus' 1990 declaration of sovereignty from the Soviet Union. Currently, Belarus' pro-Soviet, pro-Russian authoritarian government does not recognize the holiday and habitually denies permission for public events to remember the day.
