  "BAZA is the Belarusian-language abbreviation of Belaruska-Amerykanskaje ZAdzinochannie (Belarusian-American Association). It was founded in 1949 and was registered in 1950 in New York State. But BAZA has many regional branches all around the USA."

  "Under BAZA patronage, the Belarusian newspaper Belarus gets printed. The main purposes of the organization are not unique, but in my opinion, its main concern now is in helping Belarusians who permanently live in America to stick together, preserving and even learning Belarusian, helping our fraternal organizations and movements (such as BPF and others) in Belarus to establish real independece and democracy, and of course in developing strong Belarusian national identity and culture."

Belarusan Institute of Arts and Sciences   (Belaruski Instytut Navuki i Mastactva - BINIM)

"BINIM was established December 16th, 1951 by Belarusian immigrants. The goal of this institution is to unite researchers of Belarusian sciences, writers, and artists. The European branch of BINIM was established in 1955, and the Canadian branch was founded in 1967.

BINIM organizes scientific conferences dedicated to Belarusian history and culture. Publishing is also an important aspect of BINIM's work. Zapisy, an annual scientific newsletter, has been printed since 1952. BINIM also publishes several series of books." (Refer to the Web site or contact them for further information.)

Krechauski Foundation

• Purpose: According to the statutes, among the many purposes of their work was "organizing a library, archive and museum for preservation and studying of Belarusan culture, printing books and periodicals."

• History: The Foundation was named after Piotr Krechauski (Krecheuski). He was a member of the first government of BNR, and then the Chairperson of the Presidium of Rada BNR (1919-1928). He died in exile, Prague (now Czech Republic), March, 1928. The first executive committee of the Foundation was registered in 1959. Its members were Dr. V. Tumash, A. Adamovich, K. Mierlak, V. Kazhan, N. Kushal (Arsiennieva).
