Concerning Belarus and its participation--or actually lack of participation--in Regional Environmental Issues and Efforts:   Very few regional organizations in the following list directly involve Belarus organizations, pointing out how far Belarus needs to go in this area.

  "Ednannia is Ukrainian for "Joining Forces." Founded through the joint efforts of numerous organizations and individuals for the purpose of supporting civic initiatives in Belarus, Moldova, and Ukraine, Ednannia's name takes on a symbolic meaning. Ednannia seeks to foster the professional and organizational development of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and to unite grassroots NGOs and activists, who believe that, while one person can make a difference, cooperation is the key to building a more sustainable society."

• ENVCEE-L Discussion List
  "The ENVCEE-L was formed as an open, unmoderated discussion list by the Regional Environmental Center for Central and Eastern Europe (REC) in order to discuss Environmental Issues in the following countries: Albania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, and the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia. The main mission of this list is to promote cooperation among diverse environmental groups and interests in Central and Eastern Europe; to act as a catalyst for developing solutions to environmental problems in this region; and to promote the development of a civil society."
