"As Anatoly Bely, chairman of the Minsk-based Spadchyna cultural and educational club, told BelaPAN, the monuments were installed on concrete granite-lined and bronze-decorated pedestals. Mr. Bely noted that the monument to Skaryna by Sergei Adashkevich now looks like a monument to the Belarusian language. The whole Cyrillic Renaissance-font-type alphabet is engraved in the bronze pedestal."
"The monument to Husowski, the author of the famous poem "A Song about the Bison" (1523), was made by Vladimir Panteleyev. It is decorated with a large bronze panel depicting a fight between a man and a large wild animal."
"The university is creating a pantheon of Belarusian history and culture in its courtyard. A monument to Saint Euphrosyne of Polacak (Polotsk) by Igor Golubev was the last to be erected here."
"All the monuments were presented by Spadchyna. Mr. Bely is the designer of the pantheon."

In the poem, a vivid description is given of Belarus' rich natural resources, customs of the period, and partriotic views on history, including praise of Grand Duke Vitaut. There are several translations of the poem into Belarusan.
"Suzorye, one of Belarus' rock legends, have finished their long-awaited Song about the Bison, an album the band had been working on since 1981. The album is based on "Song about the Bison and his Stature and Fierceness and about Hunting for the Bison" by Mikolaj Hussowczyk, a 16th-century Belarusian poet who wrote in Latin. The release was supported by the US embassy and is due within a few weeks. There are 11 tracks in the album. One of them, "Bison" (Zubr), appears on our site courtesy of Suzorye."
